Ningbo
Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau (CIQ Ningbo) is subjected
to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and
Quarantine of the People's Republic of China(AQSIQ), being responsible
for inspection and quarantine, verification and supervision of the
entry and exit persons, cargos and transportation tools.
Since the mergence of the former Ningbo Commodity Inspection and Testing
Bureau, Ningbo Quarantine Bureau of Animals and Plants, and Ningbo
Health Quarantine Bureau in the year 1999, CIQ Ningbo has undergone
rapid development and achieved great progress during the past 7 years.
The total amount of our work has increased 4 times of that of several
years ago, occupying 48% of the amounts of Zhejiang Province and ranking
10th in the 35 bureaus of the whole country. The working staff of
CIQ Ningbo includes 742 people. There are 20 departments in head office,
7 enterprises and institutions, 8 branching bureaus and 4 working
agencies located in all the districts of Ningbo City, escorting the
development of opening economy of Ningbo.
